By 1960, Bug Karts had side rails and (still) the narrow steering support hoop (or whatever that's called). It would be three years later until the Bug Scorpion would sport a wider hoop. The above 1960 model is pictured with a Clinton engine and knobby tires (slicks were usually an option in those days), and was certified by the American Kart Manufacturers' Association.
