This Roadrunner kart has some interesting frame design ideas. Seat is very far forward with very upright steering column. Frame slings upward just rear of the seat, and side rail ties from the seat back to the steering hoop. The "scrub-on-tire" brakes, however, combined with the knobby tires and bushing engine in this particular photo,, render a somewhat less than serious look to this 1961 contender.
