If you really want to learn about the history of this rumor and its place in rock history, the book to buy is this one by Andru Reeve. Mr. Reeve spent a lot of time researching the background for his book and talking to the people who actually lived through and participated in some way in the 'Paul is Dead' hoax.

If you think John Lennon was the smart, arty Beatle while Paul was an empty head twittering prettily, this book will hip you to the facts.
